Do you ever wonder how "they" do it? Those fancy cuts, filigree carving, amazing gourd rims? They all look so beautiful, but how do they do it? The secret is the GourdMasterTM Fili-Point Burr. This unique burr was created specifically for use on gourds and is by far our most popular burr with gourd artists.
The Fili-Point Burr is a double-coated diamond burr that tapers to a fine point allowing you to create amazing carvings on any gourd (yes, even the thickest Welburn gourds!)

The Fili-Point burr is a must-have tool among gourd artist because of its many uses!
• Create Micro-Filigree and Large Filigree
• Make intricate cuts
• Make your own gourd cut-outs
• Drill tiny holes
• Cut open Welburn's thick-shelled gourds!
• And much more!
*The Fili-Point burr is compatible with: GourdMaster Pro Carvers, Dremel Rotary Tools, and Master Carvers.
We named this burr the"Fili-Point" burr because it is designed specifically for creating micro-filigree and large filigree. It is also strong enough to cut through Welburn's famous thick shelled gourds, so you can make intricate cuts, and your own gourd cut-outs!
Manufactured and designed exclusively for GourdMaster™, the "Fili-Point" Burr is made with the highest quality industrial grade diamonds. Unlike standard diamond burrs, the "Fili-Point" burr is made with a double coating of jagged cut diamonds. This makes them more durable and longer-lasting than standard diamond burrs.
If you notice your burr turning black, it often just needs to be cleaned. Take a look at the Brass Burr Cleaner to clean your burr!

"The [Fili-Point] burr is awesome! The cutting action is powerful and so smooth, like cutting through butter, so it leaves a clean edge - this means less sanding for me (always a good thing!). From tiny filigree holes to larger cut-outs, this burr easily does it all! I love that I can just plunge it right into the gourd and it doesn't grab. Because of it's size it fits into tiny corners, so I can cut really intricate shapes." - Mary Gehley
