Our "Straight-Cut" Craft-Ready Canteen vases have been created using a canteen gourd turned on its side! Each gourd has been completely cleaned on the inside and sanded on the bottom so it sits flat.

Canteen gourds are almost perfectly symmetrical, which makes them perfect for round or very symmetrical designs!

Straight-Cut Canteen Vases are available in 3 convenient size ranges:

Box of 4 Large Vases: 9"-10" in diameter*
Box of 6 Medium Vases: 7"-8" in diameter*
Box of 5 Small Vases: 5"-6" in diameter*

Please note: Many of the Canteen Vases currently in stock have dense, hard shells, which are very strong but just not quite as thick as some of our other canteen gourds, and therefore not suitable for deep carving designs.

*Gourds will be bigger than the indicated size range because of how we price them. For example, a gourd that passes THROUGH the 7-inch ring on our sizing board is priced as a 6-inch gourd and we refer to it as a 6" gourd, even though it could be as big as 6.9 inches.
