Lovely gourd birdhouse by Saranjean Hazel! Saranjean writes in her post, "Handcrafted Butterflies and Strawberry Blonde Sunflowers purple gourd birdhouse. Size approx. 10" tall x 21" circumference at largest part. Entrance hole size is 1.5 inches. The entrance hole is a perfect size for many birds including bluebirds, house finches, purple martins, wrens and chickadees. Wire with glass beads is attached for hanging. Gourds are great natural birdhouses that provide a nest for our feathery friends. Great for hanging in trees, on the porch, or on iron rods outside. Also can be used as home decor indoors. Serendipity Fiber Arts gourd birdhouses are hand-sketched with pyrography, handpainted using Gourdmaster ink dyes and acrylic paints, then finished off with an outdoor varnish to help protect the gourd and painting. A small hole is drilled to allow the birds access and three drain holes are on the bottom. Wire or leather cord is attached for hanging. All birdhouse gourds are natural and vary in shape and size.
