Driving directions to Welburn Gourd Farm

Below, you’ll find detailed directions to help guide you from various locations. Whether you’re traveling north from San Diego or south from Los Angeles and Orange County, we’ve got you covered. Follow the instructions that match your starting point for a smooth journey to the farm!

I-5
South from LA or San Diego
    1. Take I-5 to Oceanside and exit onto Highway 76 East toward Fallbrook.
      • Drive approximately 20 minutes to the Mission Rd. turnoff.
  2. Turn left onto Mission Rd. and continue for another 20 minutes.
      • Mission Rd. will make a sharp right turn at the north end of town.
      • Immediately after this turn, make a left onto Pico Ave.
  3. After one block on Pico, the street transitions to De Luz Rd.
  4. Follow De Luz Rd. for 11 miles, continuing until the pavement ends. As soon as you hit the dirt road you have arrived.

Look for the sign on the right-hand side of the road, make a right, past our cottages you will see our garden, parking lot and retail area.

Important Notes:
  • There are two Y-intersections along De Luz Rd.; stay to your left at both.
  • Cell service will cut out in the canyon, but GPS will stay active.
  • Please follow these directions as some GPS services take you on rough dirt road routes. AT&T cell service does have decent coverage.
I-15
North from San Diego
    1. Take I-15 North and exit at Mission Rd.
      • Drive approximately 20 minutes to the Mission Rd. turnoff.
  2. Continue through Main St. in Fallbrook and turn right onto Pico Ave.
      • After one block, Pico transitions to De Luz Rd.
  3. After one block on Pico, the street transitions to De Luz Rd.
  4. Follow De Luz Rd. for 11 miles, continuing until the pavement ends. As soon as you hit the dirt road you have arrived.

I-15
south from LA and OC

From I-15 South, take the Rancho California Rd. exit in Temecula. The farm is located approximately 16 miles from the freeway exit.
Turn right onto Rancho California Rd. and drive about 5 miles.

  1. At the 2nd stop sign, turn left onto De Luz Rd.
  2. Continue for approximately 7 miles, during which you'll cross into San Diego County
  3. After the 3rd stop sign (Carancho), drive for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection of De Luz Rd. and De Luz Murrieta Rd.
  4. Turn right (sharp right turn) onto De Luz Rd. and continue for 1 more mile until the pavement ends. As soon as you hit the dirt road you have arrived.

Look for the sign on the right-hand side of the road, make a right, past our cottages you will see our garden, parking lot and retail area.

Important Notes:
  • The road name changes to De Luz Murrieta Rd. upon entering San Diego County, but there’s no street sign indicating this change.
  • Address numbers won’t match until you’ve crossed into San Diego County.
  • Refer to the map above to approximate the County line location and see route.
