Gourd Festival 2025 Class

Date + Time: 2 Day Class
     Thursday, May 22nd, 1pm-5pm
     Friday, May 23rd, 9am-12pm
Location: Welburn Gourd Farm
Level: All levels

This is a 2-day class. Day one is 4 hours on Thursday, and day two is 3 hours on Friday.

You will create two Gourd birds, using air dried clay. Texture and coloring using metallic paints and clay tools. Your birds will be attached to a cholla base.

Materials provided (if you have your own tools, you are welcome to bring your own):

  • Gourds - students will select 2 small gourds
  • Glay
  • Clay Tools for Texturing
  • Metallic Paint
  • Sealer
  • Brushes
  • Spray Finish
  • Cholla Bases
  • Embellishments for eyes, feathers, eye lashes, wire, and beads.

Tools to bring:

  • Apron
  • Mask
  • Something to drink
  • If you have special embellishments, please bring them

Additional Details:

Due to our rural location, we recommend that you pack a snack or a small lunch to keep your creative energy flowing! Our store will have some limited snacks available for purchase if needed.

Cancellation Policy:

  • For a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to the start of class.
  • Cancellations received outside of 48-hour window are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards a future class.

    • Please leave a voicemail if we're unable to answer the phone.

All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped that includes your tracking information.

For January through November: You may return most unused items purchased at Welburn Gourd Farm , Inc. within 30 days of purchase.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the product is defective or if the return is a result of an error on our part.

If the item is returned for any other reason , you are responsible for the return shipping costs and may be charged a restocking fee of 7 percent.

No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). To get a RMA call our office at 1-760-728-4271.

We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item. Any product advertised as non-returnable may not be returned .
