Description: Students will learn how to plan and drill holes needed for pine needle weaving, learn about different kinds of pine needles and where to source them, and how to treat pine needles in glycerin to make them more pliable and rich-looking. They will learn how to weave 4 rows of pine needles and how to make the rows weave in and out.
Welburn Gourd Farm has gourds pre-cut and available for purchase at the farm, however additional preparation is not provided. We will have heat tools for rent or purchase.

Tools to Bring:
- 7" Gourd Cut and Cleaned
- Painted on the inside
- You may opt to cut a wavy top or just cut the top and wait for class to cut the wavy top (Please bring a gourd saw if you wait to cut a wavy top).
- Heat Setter/Heat Tool
- Drill with 1/16" Drill Bit
- Needle Shoe Compass
Additional Details:
Due to our rural location, we recommend that you pack a snack or a small lunch to keep your creative energy flowing! Our store will have some limited snacks available for purchase if needed.
Cancellation Policy:
- For a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to the start of class. Teachers prepare materials in advance for the classes.
- Cancellations received outside of 48-hour window are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards a future class.
