Each of these pens is sold as a whole unit because using pens with removable tips is not recommended on gourds.

These pens are sold without the cord. The cord comes with the Razertip and Burnmaster woodburners and can also be purchased separately. See below for more details on which cord is the right one for your unit.

Each pen comes with 1 year unconditional warranty.

Which adapter cord do I need?

If you already have a Razertip Woodburning unit, then you do not need an additional cord. The Handpiece cord comes included in the Razertip Woodburning Kit.

This cord also works for connecting Razertip Pens to the following brands: Nibsburner, Colwood, Optima

The Adapter cord (shown right), has a 1/4 inch male connector that attaches to the following units: Detail Master, BOLT, Everglades. You will need to use this cord if you have one of those burning units and want to use a Razertip Pen.

Please note: due to the high wattage output found in these burning units, it is suggested to burn at a very low temperature when using a Razertip Pen.

Don’t let the name mislead you. We actually tested this pen in the video below to see if it could cut a Welburn Gourd. The result? Yes, technically it can — but after nearly 4 minutes of work on one of our thinner-shell gourds (which, let’s be honest, is still thicker than most gourds out there), we concluded that it’s really not the tool for the job. Use it to cut too many gourds and you’ll destroy the pen in no time.

Where the Gourd Cutter truly shines is in its sturdiness: it’s fantastic for creating thick, bold burn marks and can even pierce through the shell for an incredible burned carving effect. For actual gourd cutting, we 100% recommend reaching for your Pro Carver or Proxxon Jigsaw instead.
