Gourd Festival 2025 Class
Date + Time: May 23rd, 1pm-5pm
Location: Welburn Gourd Farm
Level: All levels
In this class you will learn to design a stunning wall hanging of 3 masks or 3 pots with American Indian symbols or designs applied. I will have a plethora of feathers, beads, embellishments and wire for you to use in your creation. You will be able to finish your wall hanging in the allotted time. Hardest part of this class is choosing your piece of cholla (sliced cactus skeleton) so you can start.
Materials provided (if you have your own tools, you are welcome to bring your own):
- Slice of Cholla with hanger attached (6"-7")
- 3 small half a gourd
- Feathers
- Dowels
- Wire
- Glue
- Markers
- Wood burner (I have some to loan) Wood burning is not mandatory
- Acrylic paints (black, beige, white and turquoise)
- Mod Podge
- Dotting tools
- Scissors
- QuikWood Epoxy Putty

- Wood burner (not mandatory + instructor has extras)
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Mask
- Detail Brushes
Additional Details:
Due to our rural location, we recommend that you pack a snack or a small lunch to keep your creative energy flowing! Our store will have some limited snacks available for purchase if needed.

- For a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to the start of class.
- Cancellations received outside of 48-hour window are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards a future class.
