Description: Students will learn how to trace the faux leather tooling onto Press n Seal and then burn through it to burn in the design. They will learn how to add shading by burning with a spoon shader. They will learn how to weave 2 rows of pine needles with the fascicles still attached.

Welburn Gourd Farm has gourds pre-cut and available for purchase at the farm, however additional preparation is not provided.

  • Faux Leather Tooling Patterns
  • Press n Seal
  • Ink Dyes
  • Pine Needles
  • Sewing Needles
  • Waxed Thread

Tools to Bring:

  • 7" Gourd Cut and Cleaned
    • Painted on the inside
  • Drill with 1/16" Drill Bit
  • Heat Tool (available for rent or purchase)
  • Wood Burner with Spear Tip (available for rent or purchase)

Additional Details:

Due to our rural location, we recommend that you pack a snack or a small lunch to keep your creative energy flowing! Our store will have some limited snacks available for purchase if needed.

Cancellation Policy:

  • For a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to the start of class. Teachers prepare materials in advance for the classes.
  • Cancellations received outside of 48-hour window are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards a future class.

All non-gourd orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Gourd orders require 10–14 business days to process, as each gourd is carefully hand-selected, cleaned, and packed to ensure you receive the best quality possible.

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

For January through November: You may return most unused items purchased at Welburn Gourd Farm , Inc. within 30 days of purchase.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the product is defective or if the return is a result of an error on our part.

If the item is returned for any other reason , you are responsible for the return shipping costs and may be charged a restocking fee of 7 percent.

No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). To get a RMA call our office at 1-760-728-4271.

We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item. Any product advertised as non-returnable may not be returned .
