Since the prep time for the Gourd to be used before applying the silk dye technique requires multiple layers (a few hours of prep time) for the students convenience, the class gourds will already be cleaned and prepped, however, complete instructions and the step-by-step process on how to do prepare them at home will be covered in depth during class, as well as a written handout given to each student.

During the class, the students will learn how to apply the silk dye, mist and “salt” the gourd (to achieve the desired color flow and blended textured finish) if weather permits clear sealer will be applied at the end of class (heat will dictate this step.) Multiple ideas on how to complete the rim will be discussed and demonstrated.

Cancellation Policy:

  • For a full refund, notice of cancellation must be received 14 days prior to the start of class to respect our teacher's time and preparation of materials.
  • Cancellations received outside of 14-day window are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards a future class.
