Shipping & Returns

All non-gourd orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Gourd orders require 10–14 business days to process, as each gourd is carefully hand-selected, cleaned, and packed to ensure you receive the best quality possible.

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

Return Policies

For January through November: You may return most unused items purchased at Welburn Gourd Farm , Inc. within 30 days of purchase.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the product is defective or if the return is a result of an error on our part.

If the item is returned for any other reason , you are responsible for the return shipping costs and may be charged a restocking fee of 7 percent.

No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). To get a RMA call our office at 1-760-728-4271.

We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item. Any product advertised as non-returnable may not be returned .

Manufacturers Warranty

Products under a Manufacturer Warranty that are defective or malfunction need to be returned to the address provided in the Warranty Paper Work, which is shipped with the product.

Please Note: The photos are meant as a general representation of the shapes of gourds you can expect to receive. They are not guaranteed to sit flat and may have a round bottom (this is especially common in Tall Body gourds). You can use a Metal Gourd Stand to help display any gourds with a rounded bottom.

If you're looking for bottle gourds with no cracks, 2 or fewer flaws from small bug bites and growing scars, then these are the ones for you. Please keep in mind that no gourd will be perfect and that variation is to be expected.

Natural markings or coloration of the gourd shell do not determine quality. Gourds are a natural product, meaning each one is unique. Embrace the natural charm of these one-of-a-kind creations!

Because gourds are a natural product, these may have a slightly asymmetrical shape, or shell blemishes in an inconspicuous area, but they are still fabulous gourds!

Pre-Boxed gourds have a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, simply return the entire box for a refund!*

*For Pre-Boxed gourds, refunds are given on the entire box, not individual gourds. Sorry, we cannot refund individual gourds from a Pre-boxed group because the price reduction offered on these boxes (as compared to Custom Order gourds) is based on the group of gourds as a whole. Shipping is not included in the refund.

Pre-Boxed gourds are offered at a substantial discount from Custom Order gourds. If you do need gourds to meet your exact specifications, you are able to place a Custom Order and get the exact gourds you need.

Looking for gourds to make a Hawaiian Ipu drum (Ipu Heke Ole)? The box of Bottle Gourds will probably not work, and the best way to get Ipu gourds is to place a Custom Order.

Ipu gourds must be hand-selected by our staff to make sure they have the right neck size (small enough for the dancer’s hand), that they sit flat, and that they are symmetrically shaped.
